The Journey From Executive to Entrepreneur
Speaker
Jack Dowling - Founder and
CEO, VOTUM
Most corporate executives pursue
their careers within large organizations. After rising through the
ranks, these senior executives advance their careers by moving to
broader responsibilities in even larger organizations. Occasionally,
though, corporate executives change directions entirely and start
companies to provide themselves a newer, more rewarding challenge.
This is the path that has been chosen by Jack Dowling, founder and
CEO of VOTUM, an independent RFID consulting and deployment company.
Mr. Dowling has been a recognized leader in high technology
industries with over a quarter century of experience, including
twelve years in C-level roles. Earlier in his career he was a key
technology executive at Sprint and he was the CIO at CompuCom and
Eagle Global Logistics. Prior to founding VOTUM, Mr. Dowling ran
business operations at GlobeRanger, was COO at Truckload, and was
founder and CEO of Visual Business Intelligence (VBI).
Come hear Jack Dowling speak about his experiences making the
journey from corporate executive to entrepreneur. He will describe
some of the challenges he faced in making this transition and
provide some useful “lessons learned” for both current entrepreneurs
and those contemplating their own journey.
