  Recapitalizing with Private Equity

Speakers

Robert Hamm – Senior Vice President, Citigroup, Capital Strategies

T. Patrick Reardon – Senior Vice President, Citigroup, Capital Strategies

David G. Luther, Jr. – Partner, Hughes & Luce LLP

Presented Jointly with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE)

Over the last five years, the capital markets have seen a dramatic shift as the preference for private equity financing has surged. Every day, private equity is being used to change ownership structures, recapitalize companies and create new companies of all sizes. Private equity financing is being used increasingly to fund growing companies, to provide a funding event for venture-financed companies, and to finance spin-offs from established companies.

The event will focus on the basics of the private equity marketplace, including common issues arising in transactions with private equity groups as the buyer. The "deal" process, typical structures, common legal issues, and current market trends will all be addressed and there will be plenty of time for questions and comments in this panel discussion.
