The presenters will be Jim Von Ehr, founder, chairman and CEO of Zyvex
Corporation, and Tom Cellucci, president of Zyvex. David Rex, attorney and
partner at Jackson Walker L.L.P., will be the moderator. Mr. Rex is Director of
the Texas Nanotech Initiative.
Richardson, Texas-based Zyvex, the first molecular nanotech company, has
begun to commercialize its version of nanotech products after six years of
research and development. Nanotechnology is a revolutionary paradigm in
high-tech that has applications in every human endeavor including medicine,
energy, manufacturing and much more. Nanotechnology applications can enable
machines to be created on a molecular level that are significantly smaller,
lighter, stronger, cleaner, more precise and less expensive than preceding
techniques or technologies were.
The cutting-edge company was founded in 1997, to develop and commercialize
nanotechnologies, by serial entrepreneur, Jim Von Ehr II, who has personally
funded the company. Mr. Von Ehr, a highly recognized nanotechnology leader, has
personally led national efforts to pave the way for the new technology paradigm
to develop to its full potential. His most recent high-profile effort to support
nanotech development was on December 3, 2003 when he was invited to the White
House to be present when President Bush signed into law The 21st Century
Nanotechnology Research and Development Act. Mr. Von Ehr and the president of
Zyvex, Tom Cellucci, will discuss the path Zyvex has taken in launching its
first new groundbreaking products and services, which are being purchased by
companies such as GE, Intel, and Hewlett-Packard.
